Early Risers – The Best Way to Spend a Morning in San Diego
Opening your eyes early on a San Diego morning has its advantages. As the marine layer rises off of the horizon, San Diegans start their day with a few of their favorite things. Whether early morning exercise gets your day started, or you prefer a caffeine buzz, San Diego is the perfect place for early risers.
7:00 AM – Jump out of bed, grab your surfboard (or rent one), and hit the waves for a refreshing start to your morning. Surfing not your thing? A fishing pole will work just fine. Find a spot on the Shelter Island Pier and wait for a bite!
9:00 AM – Once the ocean waves wake your body up, stop by Better Buzz for your morning joe. Be sure to try their signature ‘Best Drink Ever’ for a true taste of San Diego.
9:30 AM – No morning is complete without donuts. Head over to Donut Bar downtown for a freshly made dozen to share with friends. Be sure to include one of their over-the-top creations, the Pop-Tart donut, which has earned national attention.
10:00 AM – Join a yoga class taught at Yoga Six in Point Loma to center your mind and start your day with some serious OM.
11:00 AM – Rent a bike from Best Western Plus Island Palms front desk when you stay at the property, and head around the island to complete your new San Diego morning routine.
